My name is Blessing Okpala. I am a positive, focused, self-motivated, team player and result-oriented individual constantly seeking ways to proffer solutions to real world problems. I am committed to life-long learning and strongly believe that my personality, education and experience have prepared me to solve technical problems. My background is in business. I completed my doctoral studies in business and management in a UK university. A program that offered me the opportunity to contribute something new to the academic world. It was in the course of my doctoral research that I developed a strong passion for technology. Being so passionate about technology, I decided to turn my passion into reality.
I started off by learning how to write software codes. I learnt HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and bootstrap. I took the path of becoming a front-end developer. It was in the course of me working as a front-end developer that I came to realize that I have an eye for design. And that’s how my journey into the UI/UX field started. I got drawn to UI/UX design because I felt it is the perfect path for me to combine both my business skills such as research, analysis and communication combined with my sense of creativity and design to solve real-world problems.
To get myself equipped, I started researching and learning about the UI/UX field. I took related courses and have built a couple of projects as well. I know I have the right skills to thrive and excel in my new path. My skill sets include Figma, Adobe XD, Miro, Affinity designer, Final Cut Pro, Lightroom, photoshop but most importantly, user research.

This UX case study showcases the steps involved in designing the E-LearnCPR, which is a cross-platform utility to help people learn how to give CPR. In this case study, I focused on the user flow from when the user signs into the e-learning platform until the user completes the lesson. I first empathized with the users by first conducting research via surveys and interviews. The findings and insights aid the design of this platform so that users can easily join and complete their courses.
